ENGLISH PUB IN BARCELONA
The Black Horse English Pub in Barcelona was born on the 17 of July, 1997 not only as a place to have a drink, but also as a meeting place for people from different countries that live and work in Barcelona. Therby giving them a way of integrating into our society and at the same time providing the locals a way of meeting other cultures.
BARCELONA ENGLISH PUB HISTORY
The Black Horse is located in a 16th century building, catalogued as part of the historical parentage of the city. Thus, the interior stone walls and arches have been preserved. The pub's character is that of a typical British Pub - one which is formed by the people - which gives it that personal touch. It's a place which, out of all the bars in Barcelona, would like to say it has the best atmosphere of repsect and tolerance amongst its clientèle.

Situated at the heart of Barcelona in the Ribera district, the Black Horse is found between the Cuidadela Parc and Vía Laietana in a commercial pedestrian area only a few metres away from the Picasso Museum. This up-and-coming area has recently been given a face-lift by the local government and this has created a rejuvenated feel.

Our clientele has a varied age where both adults and families with children feel comfortable, but the majority of our customers is made up of people in the 18 to 35-year-old age bracket. There is more or less a 50/50 mix of Spanish and English wherein both groups have a good knowledge of the culture of English Pubs in Barcelona.
